I'm originally from a small city in Germany, then lived in the states for 4 years (West Virginia and New York) and am now doing my masters in Computer Science at TU Delft. What excites me about studying abroad is that it allows me to meet people from all over the world and to learn about their cultures, recipes, music and political views. I love swimming (I used to do so competitively), bouldering, running, surfing and in general being active. But when it's gloomy and rainy outside there's nothing better than lighting a candle, making tea and reading a book. I'm interested in international politics, history, sustainability, and artificial intelligence, so that's the broad areas my current books are from. When I meet with friends I enjoy cooking together, playing games (current favorite is monopoly deal), taking walks to stop by the local ice cream place, or getting coffee in one of those cozy little Dutch Cafés where you can sit outside with a blanket even in the winter. Oh and my boyfriend and I are trying to memorize all capitals of the world and their locations.

Meet people and not just monuments. My only experience so far is from when I traveled to Antwerp with my boyfriend - our host had the largest elephant figure collection I have ever seen and could point us towards very interesting spots to visit.
