Hi, I’m Nibedita 😊 Originally from Odisha, currently based in Bangalore. Over the years, I’ve had the chance to travel across different parts of India, and somewhere along the way I realised that what I enjoy most isn’t just the places, but the people and stories behind them. I love understanding cultures — through food, conversations, and everyday life. From coastal Odisha to the mountains of the north, and now living in the south, I’ve been lucky to experience how diverse yet connected we are. I’m easygoing, enjoy meaningful conversations, and also appreciate quiet moments. I’m not someone who needs constant plans, but I do enjoy spontaneous travel ideas and exploring local experiences. For me, Couchsurfing is about genuine connections — sharing stories, perspectives, and maybe a meal or two. 😊

Ce que je dirais à mon moi plus jeune, c'est...
Something I would tell my younger self is: you don’t have to have everything figured out. Life becomes more meaningful when you allow yourself to grow, explore, and take chances.
Une chose que j'ai apprise en voyageant et que j'ai ramenée chez moi, c'est...
One thing I learned traveling that I brought home with me is that the world feels much smaller once strangers start feeling familiar.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing to experience places through people — their stories, their everyday lives, and the little things that don’t show up on maps.
Musique, films et livres
Music: I enjoy folk music, semi-classical, and soft romantic songs — something that feels soothing and meaningful. Movies: I prefer movies that are light, meaningful, and less on violence — not a fan of horror. Books: I enjoy reading, especially Indian mythology and historical fiction — books like The Mahabharata Secret and Sita by Devdutt Pattanaik, and stories rooted in India’s history and culture.
Une chose incroyable que j'ai faite
One amazing thing I’ve done is transform from someone who was once scared to move away from home into someone who now finds joy in exploring new places and meeting new people. From growing up in Odisha to living in the north and now the south—and even travelling across India from east to west—I’ve had the chance to meet people from different states and understand their food, traditions, and way of life. It has completely changed how I see India.

Ce que je peux offrir à mes hôtes
I can share stories, conversations, and a bit of my cultural journey across India. I enjoy connecting over food, so I’d be happy to cook or share something from my region. I also believe in being respectful, easygoing, and contributing in small ways wherever I stay.
Mes centres d'intérêt
I’m someone who finds interest in almost everything, but especially enjoy crafts, cooking, food, and travel.
