Recently moved to Amsterdam to ride bikes and eat fries. Swapped hiking the mountains of British Columbia for the near-vertical stairs to my apartment. I've hosted previously in Manchester, Hamburg, Berlin and Vancouver and now will try it in Amsterdam. Couchsurfing should be a beneficial experience for host and surfer, so I will reject all generic requests as well as any that have clearly not read my profile (including the my home section)

Over the years I've met and hosted many people and while some are just brief encounters, others I consider to be my true friends. I enjoy teaching people history and fun facts of the places I live in and meeting interesting people from around the world.
Musique, films et livres
Music - Arctic Monkeys, Stromae, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, LCD Soundsystem, David Bowie, Idles, Tyler the creator, Flaming Lips, Gorillaz, Daft Punk, Khruangbin, Public Service Broadcasting... and many many more Books - Mostly fantasy and sci-fi with the odd book about climate change solutions if I want to make myself sad

Kayaked at dawn next to a marine wildlife reserve, surrounded by mist and hearing the blows of Orcas all around me

My brain is incapable of forgetting random facts and knowledge, so maybe this will be useful to you, or maybe it will be not useful at all 😅 I'll do my best to introduce you to Amsterdam, though I have been here only for a short time so I'm still learning it myself. I love to ride my bike so I'd be happy to show you around by bike and help you to avoid making too many mistakes that will draw the anger of the other cyclists
