I'm Omar, an industrial engineer from Cairo who's spent most of his life building things as communities, startups, programs, and (whenever possible) new friendships across borders. My work takes me across industries and sometimes across continents, and I've come to believe that the best way to understand a place is never through a hotel window. It's through the people who live there, their kitchens, their commutes, their stories over tea at midnight. I co-founded an EdTech startup bringing AI literacy to kids across the Middle East, and I run a community of 5,000+ engineering students and graduates in Egypt. I've visited factories in Detroit, met student leaders from 20 countries. Every one of those experiences started with someone willing to open a door. That's exactly what I'm looking for here, people who are curious about the world and generous with their time. I'm a good conversation partner, a light packer, and I genuinely care about leaving a place (and a person) better than I found it. If you're a host who loves exchanging ideas over a meal, hearing about Egypt, or geeking out about supply chains, startups, or education, we'll get along just fine. Looking forward to meeting you somewhere in the world.
