I like traveling and meeting new people, and don't enjoy isolating myself from new experiences. Hotels can be bubbles that prevent people from meeting each other.

I love the short story form, but enjoy novels that require thoughtful reading and establish a clear sense of place. My favorite short story is called Turnabout.
