I'm a Canadian, and I live in London because I guess I hate nice weather? I'm a stand up comic and writer who does consulting to pay bills when necessary. I am also a big ol' irony socialist. I've spent way too long writing too many things that never see the light of day, which is more or less fine. I like to travel to write better things than normal I guess? Other things I do are cheffing for events around London and also amateur sommelier-ing. So I guess I could cook you something, which could be lit. I bring my own spices.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
I'm on couchsurfing because hotels are full of business nerds and scumbag slumlords all figured out how to use AirBnb to hock cheap closets full of plastic furniture. But I guess there's another reason, which is that modern society is profoundly alienating. Loneliness and competition, being solitary in crowds of people, it's no way to live. I want my life to be different tomorrow to the way it was yesterday, I suppose.

A la recherche du temps perdu,
Une chose incroyable que j'ai faite
I lived in a refugee camp for a while. A friend of mine, a journalist, was in town and bored... I had just submitted a writing project and had nothing to do. So we decided to book a flight together and showed up in the camps without much of a plan. Within the next two days, we documented a group of security officers evict refugees from a derelict hotel, made friends with a guy who would become something of a figure in the Amsterdam gay scene, and got wrapped up in a local NGO. The story is written and with a journalism contest in Canada. Let's hope it goes somewhere I guess.
Ce que je peux offrir à mes hôtes
I've got professional audio equipment that travels with me more or less everywhere, but also I can show you how to cook, how to taste wine, or how to speak in public... maybe even how to write jokes I guess. I'm pretty okay at it.
