Hi, my name is Saki, a 20 yrs-old college student. I'm from a small port town of Japan, but have lived in Kyoto and Tokyo for a couple of years, and I'm studying Social Science at university in Toronto, Canada. Now, I am traveling around the world with Up with People/Viva la Gente, which is an global educational & musical program. I love meeting new people and getting to know different cultures. Travel is my passion, and also I'm into photography, dance, and writing. I always try to open up myself, and don't hesitate to try something new and fun.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
Rather than staying at hotel, I want to meet and stay local people. Then I get to know the real life in the area, for example, cultures, unique places, and the best food. Also, I love talking with people and making friends from all over the world. This is the main reason I started Couchsurfing. I am doing something similar in the Up with People program, which I go to different cities and stay with different host families every week. I really enjoy what I am doing right now, and I feel like I can get similar experiences in Couchsurfing.
