I kick cancer in the *** on a daily basis. I'm a husband, father, doctor, mentor, teacher and friend. I relax through exercise, travel, history, food and wine. I am a student of culture ... I like to observe life in the other 200+ countries in which I don't live. It can be challenging to balance freedom to travel with my responsibilities (which also bring me joy!).

Any non fiction by Paul Theroux. Anthology of Jorge Luis Borges' short stories. The Death of Ivan Ilyich by Tolstoy. Siddhartha by Herman Hesse. Non fiction by Ludwig Bemelmans. Graham Greene is always tortured yet entertaining.
