I’m living in the mountains of Haiti, building something real with my own hands. I started Grown in Haiti to restore the land, grow food, and help my community reconnect with what’s always been ours—abundance, but through care and respect for the earth. I’m a photographer, but more than that, I’m a father, a land steward, and someone who’s always seeking to understand life better. My daughter’s 8 months old, and she’s already tasted more fruits from our land than most people ever will. That’s the kind of life I’m about—rooted, real, and in tune with nature. No matter what, I believe everything happens in cycles. Nothing’s wasted, not time, not effort, not even pain. It all feeds the next season. You can check out more of what I’m building at growninhaiti.com.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
I’m here for real people, not freeloaders. If you just want a free spot, pass me by. If you want to experience something deeper, connect, share stories, or just live simply while you’re here, I’m open. I believe in exchange—energy, knowledge, time. If we can build something, even just for a moment, I’m good with that.
Musique, films et livres
Music depends on the mood. Some days I need something that grounds me, other days it’s about rhythm and energy. I’m open to most sounds, as long as it moves something real inside. Movies – I’m drawn to films that make you think or feel deeper than the surface. Some of my favorites: Mr. Nobody, Enter the Void, Love, Zero Theorem, The Fall, Watermelon Man, The Holy Mountain. I like stories that don’t always follow the rules. Books – I read to explore different minds and perspectives. I vibe with Haruki Murakami, always. Also: Island Beneath the Sea, 100 Years of Solitude, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. Books that mix reality with something more—something that makes you question or see things differently.
Une chose incroyable que j'ai faite
I built back soil where there was nothing. Now it feeds us.
Enseigner, apprendre, partager
I can show you what I know about growing food, restoring land, working with wood, taking meaningful photos, and living close to nature. Always open to learning whatever’s useful, real, or brings more understanding.
Ce que je peux offrir à mes hôtes
I’ll share what I have, if you bring respect. My space, my time, my energy—it’s all on the table if it’s mutual. Bring your own towel, your own soap, and your best self. Respect the land, the space, and the people, and you’ll feel at home.
