COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE Unfortunately, my couchsurfing experience is quite minimal. When I first joined 4ish years ago, I had coffee/drinks with a few people in Zürich as well as a couple in Geneva. I was lucky enough to surf in Prague. My host and his roommates were most excellent and gave me a wonderful introduction the couchsurfing community. During the rest of that summer, I was too disorganized to surf again but was happy for the one opportunity. My living situation over the last few years has been such that I only was able to host once – two lovely German women, who sold me on being a host in the future, when I’ve finally got a place of my own. In fact, I hope to host surfers when I’m settled in Manzanillo, Mexico, in 6 weeks or so.
