Books: Any historical fiction novel is *chef's kiss* (huge shout-out to The Red Tent by Anita Diamant. Also every Lisa See novel) Movies: if it has one of the following things I'm gonna love it: 1. Food, art, or music as a central theme 2. Takes place in any city outside the US 3. Has nuanced, fleshed-out female, queer AND poc characters 4. Is based on true events/people So naturally my favorite movie in the entire world is Frida(2007) directed by Julie Taymore
