Getting in touch with locals is always a great way to experience the country in a different way offside the touristic points. Touristic stuff is great - never mind- but insider tips are so much more worth. I also like to travel alone, so I have to get to know new people and it's easier with couchsurfing than in hostels.

My first couchsurfing experience has been in Vienna. And what can I say, it was the best start i could have got. My host was just so kind and open. He showed me around Vienna, took me to the best restaurants and cafes and got me even a view in his daily life as a sports commentator. No way to get these memories without couchsurfing.
