I think that there is no better way to understand other cultures then meeting the locals and I love meeting new people. I must admit .. when I first signed up for couch surfing I thought it was just a way for people to lower their travel expenses, but then I realized that it is so much more! The people I have met through couch surfing have been so amazing and each and everyone has such an interesting background and stories to tell. Traveling is always better and more interesting when you meet new people.
