My #1 objective when I travel is to meet real locals (not tour guides) who I can befriend and who can teach me what their country is really like. Couchsurfing offers me a window into a community of fellow travelers.
Musique, films et livres
Enjoy music one can dance to. I listen to a wide variety of music from Adele and Edith Piaf to Techno and Jazz (basically all music except rap, and we can debate whether that is music) :) Books: Shantaran, Pillars of the Earth, Atlas Shrugged. I'm always in the middle of a book. I'm a movieholic and will watch just about any genre except horror.

Always looking to find fascinating stories about people that I can learn from. Certified to teach English to non-English speakers and I can help you practice Spanish and Portuguese. Can write/edit, help you translate websites, etc.

I love volunteer work of all kinds. I teach/tutor English as a second language. Write/edit/research. House sitting (your home will be cleaner/neater when you return). Pet sitting (your animals will not even notice you're gone). Cooking, cleaning, and other housework. Teach how to solve the Rubik's Cube :)
