I moved to Edinburgh in 2002 to study at Edinburgh University and forgot to go home! Currently living with my partner René (he's German) on Leith Walk. A vibrant part of Edinburgh that's very near the centre and has a lot of bars/restaurants.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
We're happy to meet new people, show them the city and discuss life, the universe and everything. We travel a lot so it's always good to meet people from around the world; you never know when you might bump into them again! Hosting : We could potentially host unless (i) you're in a group, or (ii) you want to stay more than 2 nights. We have a spare bedroom in our flat on Leith Walk.
Musique, films et livres
Mozart to Meatloaf, Bach to Bjork - I have very catholic tastes when it comes to music. As for films and books, the same applies. The last few things I read were a Margaret Atwood novel, a book about tea plantations in the British colonies and my copy of the Economist.
Une chose incroyable que j'ai faite
I was once on Bargain Hunt. It's not exactly amazing, but I still have the fleece.
Enseigner, apprendre, partager
Need something from China? Want to chat business? I'm your man. Oh, I own a luggage brand called ARCIDO : www.arcido.com -- always on the lookout for brand ambassadors, bloggers and influencers who want to collaborate.
Ce que je peux offrir à mes hôtes
A good overview of the city, and historical insight if you're interested in that sort of thing. Advice on where to go out, and where to avoid. Friendship, conversation, wine...
Mes centres d'intérêt
When I'm not working, music takes up a lot of time - playing the piano and singing in a choir. I also accompany René on the flute and will occasionally play the clarinet. Like to go swimming a few times a week as well as the gym, and cycle around Edinburgh a lot. We have a spare bike if you need to borrow it. Cooking, socialising, reading... the usual stuff. I have a philosophy degree and Rene is an historian.
