Hi I'm Zoe. I'm originally from the Philippines, and was raised in the US near the Mexico border, and lived in Miami, FL and Queensland, Australia. Currently I'm living in Monterey, CA. Like the majority of couchsurfers, international travel plays a big role in my life and in my happiness. I love hearing travel stories from the past or travel plans for the future! I work and study in the environmental sector.

I prefer experiencing a new place through a more local point of view rather than a tourists. I enjoy solo backpacking because of the people you get to meet and I think CS is a great way to meet others from different backgrounds. No need to stay in a fancy hotel when you can travel this way instead.

Too many to list! But Nahko and Medicine for the People is a favorite for music and Stand By Me is a favorite for movies! And anything LOTR :)

I am very curious when it comes to learning about really anything. My biggest hobbies currently include scuba diving, yoga, and dance hooping. I would love to share any of these with you! I am interested in learning about local culture and food. I love trying new foods and learning to cook.

Scuba diving (anything ocean related), yoga, fresh fruit, good local/street food, hiking/being outdoors, travel photography, etc. I find that im at my happiest when I'm living out of a backpack--whether im camping, at a music festival, or traveling.
