I am backpacking through central america and am planning to stop by Nicaragua.

I honestly have no idea what to do or what to see and i would love some advice... I like activities such as

• Hiking

• Snorkeling

• Partying -Kayaking

And pretty much anything and everything adventurous

Hey! My name's Kelly-- I just moved to Jinotega and plan to be here for a year, so I'm looking for a small house to rent. I've been looking for about 2 weeks now and can't seem to find anything. Anyone know of any small houses or apartments available? Preferably for 1 or 2 people, in a safe barrio.

I thought I'd post here too because Jinotega/Matagalpa are relatively close to each other, so maybe someone will know of something!

I am leaving Matagalpa Oct 28 - have been renting a very nice room in a modern home on Calle Santa Ana above the Catholic church (below Guanuca the big market near the south bus terminal on the hill) and when I leave, the room will be available. The landlord is a very nice woman, rent is $150/month with your own bathroom, big comfy bed, kitchen access, nice backyard that I landscaped and easy access to just about everything. Let me know if interested and I can hook you up with Maria. She speaks Spanish and her English is very good.
