Can you help me find a job working with nature?

Hello everyone!

I'm a former city boy that has recently discovered a passion for nature amongst many other things, and I'm looking to find some work to match my new-found passion. I was hoping some locals could give me some advice on a good wild life sanctuary/conservation , plant nursery, herbal/wellness center or any place that comes to mind where I could inquire about some work. Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you~

Hey Danny, I've grew up in Marshfield and studied horticulture in college. I think you'll like the transition from city to countryside. I'm not aware of any wildlife sanctuary near marshfield. If that's something you're very interested in, you should look up the Vermont department of fish and game and contact the Washington county office to see if they have any info. There are various conservation groups that do work with the waterways, diversifying public forest structure, animal and plant surveys, etc. I think the town of marshfield has an official group called the conservation commite. Anyone can join (I think) and they do work on the town's public lands. I'm sure there are wellness centers around, a good place to look would be at the town clerks office in either Marshfield, Plainfield, or Cabot and checking the bulletin boards outside the convince stores.

Finally, if you're interested in working at a nursery. A few that come to mind are: the Vermont flower farm, Amanda's greenhouse, the Cabot greenhouse and nursery, Grandview winery, and Burts apple orchard. Good luck and send me a message if you have any other questions.

Hey! You can look into Vermont youth conservation core. They basically work on mountain trails And There are some preservation crews as well. You could be a crew member or leader. I was a member. But everyone there has so much knowledge on all things nature.
