New to NC

Hi all, I just moved from CA for a new job and am new to the Raleigh area. I'd love to meet new people and hang out. It's a bit different here as opposed to the Bay where everyone leaves the office at 5 PM, which leaves a lot of time for me to explore and try new things and I'd be very happy to have some company. So please hit me up if you have any suggestions.

Hi Dhruti, Hope everything is going well for you. I have been in the area for like 6 months and I found meetup(app) very helpful to meet new people and get connected. Check it out. There is a lot of events in the area. You might also like internations(google it). It's a group of international people that hang out together . Last time I went there were about 100 people from 50ish different countries.

I would totally be up for connecting and hanging out. I have been here since August '15, NC State grad student and been to hiking trails and state parks nearby. It has been wonderful so far but there is much more to explore yet. If you are a nature lover, you will love this place. Otherwise, there are tons of events around the area. As a newbie in couchsurfing, I started with 'casual dinner and new member meetup' and it was fun meeting new people, chit-chatting casually.

Talking about the places around, have you been to Inchin's Bamboo Garden before? It's in your area, Morrisville. It's Indo Chinese and it's AWESOME. Being an Indian ;), you should try it once. and it's been months I haven't been there so I would love to join you. I hike frequently, so you may tag along anytime.
