where to eat cheap food which is not Pizza in Zurich (possibly close to Technopark) ?

I'm attending an event in Zurich and unfortunately they'll be giving pizza for dinner which I (as intolerant to lactose) I unfortunately cannot eat.

any recommendation where I can get reasonably priced food around?

I'm also working in Technopark, so we often (for lunch) go either to lillyjo.ch open till 19.00 or to naanu.ch, in both places the Vegetarian menu is 14.- and usually tasty.

Pizza is not that cheap in Zurich, anyway. For an average price of pizza you can eat in any place that has daily menus.

Cheapest street food is kebab/falafel, it's 10-12 CHF everywhere.

One of well kept secrets is to go to cafeteria of universities or big companies. They have special prices for their students/employees, but even the highest, "external" price is giving any other place run for money. Close to Technopark (Toni Areal) you can find a Migros office where they have cafeteria with daily menus. Daily menu in one of cafeterias of Universität Zürich (in the city centre, though) is below 10 francs for everyone.

You can also ask the Hackathon people if they have a solution. They are nice guys I think.

If you are not planning to take a girl out for a nice dinner, the cheapest solution is for sure coop behind prime tower..there are tables and they even warm up the food for you. If you are very lucky you might get some goods close to expiring date 50% off. Moreover, you will never find anywherelese a half liter beer for 1.90chf :D
