Hey everyone! Looking forward to having the next DRINK UP! bar crawl in late November. Thank you to everyone who attended my previous events. We had almost 40 people last time (actually not sure..I lost count!) We had a great crowd last time, and ended up at Bar A.S.A.B. in Asakusa. Saw some great costumes for the Halloween party! As per previous DRINK UP! bar crawls in this series... Of course, there is no fee to join. You can join or take off at any point in the night. I will update this thread with the current location if we decide to move. New note: DO NOT bring canned/convenience store beverages inside the bars on the crawl, or drink cans directly outside of the bars. I already go through a lot to make sure all cover charges and fees are waived. It reflects badly on everyone if you bring in your own drinks, and it is pretty embarrassing. Just don’t do it, finish it outside away from entrances. Venues are a mix of small local Asakusa bars. These are not huge club-like places, but rather conversation-oriented bars with low or reasonably priced drinks. I vet every location, and I don’t choose anywhere with cover charges or baked-in fees. Minimum one drink per location, let’s help these guys keep their lights on. Depending on the size of the group, I will arrange for very cheap bar-style karaoke around midnight.
