Come celebrate the beginning of autumn in Bilbao! Summer days might be over, but there's still plenty of time before the long slumber of winter arrives. If you've never been to this extraordinary and majestic part of northern Spain, now is your time to do so. This is the land of pintoxs and txakoli, cider houses and pelota, txikiteos and Michelin restaurants, Basque cheesecake and craft beer. Program: THURSDAY: 19:00 - First evening of the event, food and drinks in Bilbao. Pintxos and craft beer crawl till nighttime. FRIDAY: 10:00 - Breakfast in the city. Coffee and food, followed by a city tour, including a visit to the Guggenheim museum, wandering around the Casco Viejo and the food market, taking the funicular up to Mount Artxanda and then, if we magically still have time, we'll finish off by taking the metro to Getxo to see the Vizcaya suspension bridge. 20:00 - Assuming we're done with all the sightseeing in the city, it's time for dinner, drinks and partying! SATURDAY: 9:00 - We'll start our day early, traveling to Pasai Donibane, in order to hike a short stage of the beautiful Camino del Norte. [*** Important: We'll be taking the 9:00am Alsa bus from Bilbao to San Sebastian and then coming back with the 21:00 bus from San Sebastian. We'll spend the rest of the day in San Sebastian, wandering from the neighborhood of Gros into the old town and over Monte Igueldo, where a funicular takes you to the top and grants you those awesome views over La Concha beach. 21:00 - At the end of the day, we'll head back to Bilbao for more food and drinks in the city. We'd like to add a visit to a Basque cider house (Sagardotegi), potentially on this day or on Sunday. SUNDAY: 10:30 - We'll start late to recover from Saturday's partying and take a day trip to Guernica to see the Museo de La Paz. From there we'll either go the surf town of Mundaka or back to Bibao. Last drinks in the city and a long goodbye! MONDAY (Extra unofficial day, unconfirmed!): 10:00 - We'll go to the small fishing town of Bermeo and from there we'll continue to San Juan de Gaztelugatxe to see the remote little hermitage. The day might include some hiking to the hermitage. Heading back to Bilbao by bus afterwards. This event has been moved from Sunday due to logistic difficulties on weekends.
