Hi all. This is going to be the third book club meeting. Masha, Nayan and I decided to do it once a month because biweekly seems to be too ambitious to read a whole book. My recent 5 days trip in Puerto Rico made me know that it is not a country as I thought it was. For me, seeing it as completely different from the United States: the language, the people, the foods, the drinks, the architecture and everything, this is more like a colonialism to me. I found it hard to find locals who speak English. But I believe different people have different opinion. Ab Uber driver named Sophia recommended me this book if I am interested in learning more about Puerto Rico and the aspirations of the people. We will have a Latin friend who will share their thoughts too. If you are Puerto Ricans, please join us. Bring your friends too. See you guys!
