Colonia
Host a Colonia
Important:::::::: I live in Leverkusen it's about 20 km from cologne Center..we have public transport or bicycle to move around.. I'm trying always my best to have the pleasure to accept your request, but please I'm working DURING THE WEEK starting from 5am till 3pm. During the weekend am mostly available, and would be happy to meet you guys.
FIRST IMPORTANT REMARK: IF YOU WANT TO STAY WITH ME, MAKE A REQUEST! Do NOT only send me a message as I will not answer it! ---------------------------------------- Due to personal circumstances, I will reduce hosting of CS. I will continue thinking of hosting of not yet met CS if I'm EXTREMELY EXCITED/FASCINATED to host YOU . . . . ;-) So, it's now your turn to make an interesting/fascinating couch request to make me interested to host YOU or good luck with other Cologne hosts, there are enough awesome ones!!! CURRENT MISSION I had some guardian angels and survied a severe car accident and realized that I should enjoy every minute of my life which I have on this wonderful planet earth . . . ABOUT ME I'm interested in spending some time together to talk or show you a little bit of my loved city Cologne but unfortunately I have only limited time due to my work, family and volunteer help for mainly Syrian and Ukrainian refugees with our FB groups "refugee couchsurfing of cityofhope cologne e.V." where I'm the founder of emergency couchsurfing for refugees "stranded" at Cologne central station . . . ., but I will love to spend some time together, as that's it what makes CS so special!
Try to be happy Love to travel
CURRENT MISSION it´s not about the places it´s about the people...it doesn't matter what you do, it matters who you do it with... saying that, I lived in six countries so far and luckily met great people everywhere :) As we are all in some point in constant progress and appear different to every one, the best is to get to know me on your own... If you want to get a (digital) impression: IG https://www.instagram.com/t.bot.bo/ My BeWelcome http://www.bewelcome.org/members/timobo FB https://www.facebook.com/bouerdick PHILOSOPHY "The only people who ever get anyplace interesting are the people who get lost." Henry David Thoreau Some thoughts which I experienced to be useful (losely based on Paulo Coelho about "Traveling in a different way"): 1]Choose museums wisely. Museums are important, but they require time and objectivity, you need to know what it is you want to see there, otherwise you will come away with the impression that you saw several things which are fundamental to your life, but cannot remember what they were or sort them in. 2] Frequent bars and cafes. Unlike museums, this is where the life of the city can be found. These are places where the people gather to have a drink, pass the time, and are always willing to chat. Buy a newspaper and observe the bustle of people coming and going. If someone speaks to you, strike up a conversation, however banal: one cannot judge the beauty of a path merely by looking at its entrance. 3] Be open and forward. The best tourist guide is someone who lives there, knows everything, but does not work at a travel agency. Go out into the street, choose someone you wish to speak to, and ask him or her for directions. 4] Don´t compare. Do not compare anything, not prices, nor cleanliness, nor quality of life, nor means of transport, nothing! You are not traveling in order to prove you live better than others, your search, in fact, is to find out how others live, what they have to teach, how they view reality and the extraordinary things in life. 5] Understand that everyone understands you. Even if you don´t speak the language, do not be afraid: I have been in many places in which there was no way of communicating with words, and I always found support, guidance, important suggestions, and found great friends. 6] Don´t buy much. Spend your money on things which you will not have to carry: good theater, restaurants, walks. 7] Don´t try and see the world in a month. It is better to stay in one city for four or five days, that visit five cities in a week. A city is like a capricious woman, who needs time to be seduced and reveal herself completely. 8] A journey is an adventure. Get lost in the streets, wander down alleyways, feel free to look for something, without knowing what it is - it will change your life.
