I am currently studying computer science in Hungary, having come from Japan. Winter break has started, and I am going to France to visit some famous places! But as a student, I don’t have much money… maybe also because of the weak yen due to Japan’s economic stagnation. If possible, please let me stay! Even a sofa is fine. Otherwise, I have no choice but to sleep in a park…!!! As a thank you, I can give you a JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure sticker! The time has come to show the spirit of a samurai!!
Hi! I’m a passionate traveler based in Kobe, currently preparing for a 3-month trip across 3 countries in Europe (including Spain!) starting in two months. Before I head out on my own adventure, I’d love to welcome international travelers to my hometown as a host/local guide! I’m originally from Nagoya, but I fell so deeply in love with Kobe that I actually relocated here 6 months ago! 🙇♀️Since I live in a sharehouse, I can’t offer a place to sleep, but I’d love to share my love for this city and offer you a rich, authentic local experience instead! What I Can Share / Why Hang Out With Me • 🏯History Buff (Devoted to Japanese History!): Japanese history was my absolute favorite subject in school (I used to score in the top 2% nationwide!). If you’re curious about shrines, samurai, or the story behind Kobe, I’ve got endless stories to share. • 🚃47 Prefectures Explorer: I’ve traveled to all 47 prefectures in Japan. I know the hidden gems, local foods, and unique vibes across the country, so I’m happy to help you with your Japan travel plans! • 🗣️A Fresh & Passionate Local Guide: As someone who recently moved here out of pure love for the city, I can show you Kobe through the fresh eyes of a fellow traveler. My English is basic, but my passion for sharing culture is 100%! Let’s Hang Out! If you’re coming to Kobe and want to explore the city, taste good food, or dive into Japanese history with a local friend, hit me up! I’d love to show you around over a cup of coffee or a walk through the city. Can’t wait to meet you! 🎌✨
I really love traveling and have traveled to many countries 🌍✨The experiences and people I meet there are treasures 🥹 I look forward to meeting people who can share those experiences through CS ! ! I am deeply grateful and respectful to those who have developed and run this app 🙏 Please feel free to contact me. However, please check the details below ↓↓↓ ⚠️⚠️⚠️ However, there are more than a few people using this app with impure thoughts, unfortunately … If you are using this app with such impure feelings, especially sexual feelings, please don't send me a message … There are many other such apps in the world . Please use it ! Your actions like that bring sorrow to me. And if something like that happens, I will report it immediately, so please take care of it. Your actions not only hurt a woman, but also hurt the image of the country. Please don't give a bad image to people who love to travel . Thank you for understanding ——————————————— ※ I use this app mainly for interacting with locals and travelers and for hanging out. So I don't accept host offers. Thank you for your kind thoughts. ※ I don't also accept friend requests from people I've never met. I'm sorry, but I can't host people I've never met before …. I can host people if I get to know you. However, the house is small, so I can only host women. Many people who come to Kobe come to eat Kobe beef. I can tell you about restaurants ! But , I can't go with you... because it’s an expensive food. I can't eat it on a daily basis … 🙏

CURRENT MISSION To meet people in the prime of my life....and to Lindy Hop/Swing Dance everywhere I go. I am renovating an old Japanese house in the mountains as a volunteer Artist Retreat and Permaculture farm. Check IG: @haveyoustayed ABOUT ME I am 58 but feel like 18...I was a chap who travelled alot when younger and many times relied on the kindness of strangers...I was able to offer the same for others...In this way couchsurfing seems to confirm it is still possible to meet people and share your life....and I want some of that back in my life. I loved the meeting of people and sparking on similar interests and philosphy, especially when I hitched through Europe, North Africa and South East Asia....I also participate in Workaway and HelpX as I have an Artist's Retreat, an old Japanese Kominka, that I am currently renovating. People are welcome to stay there if they want to experience rural Japan. PHILOSOPHY I am a bloke who wants to know and learn more....Live well and leave the place better than I found it......
Back when I was a university student in Turkey, I was a very active Couchsurfer. After moving to Japan, I got busy with work and life, so I didn’t have much time for it anymore. Now I’d like to bring back a little bit of that backpacker spirit. Whenever I have free time, I’d love to host travelers, hang out, share experiences, and meet interesting people from different parts of the world. And when I’m on vacation, I’d love to travel, explore new places, and make new friends along the way. My English is good enough to get my point across lol 😄 My native language is Turkish, and I also speak Japanese quite well. Looking forward to meeting you!
Hello! My name is Victoria. I am Russian and I have been living in Japan for 12 years. I am a teacher. I teach English, Russian and German languages. I am interested in Chinese culture, history and language. I am a beginner in Chinese though. When I was 8 or 10 years old I saw a Chinese movie with Jet Lee and since then I fell in love with the actor and the culture. I mastered Chinese history at school and dreamed to move to China but, unfortunately my dream didn't come true. Last year I wanted to go to study Chinese language in Hangzhou but unfortunately, I got sick and had to go back to Japan where I was diagnosed with a Still's disease.❤️🩹 I am planning to go to China to study for a short term, therefore I am looking for someone who would be interested in renting my place for this time. Maybe 3-6 months. Preferably a woman. Let me know if you would be interested :)
Hi this is Mika. I'm from Hyogo, Japan. Currently I live in Australia :) I'm very easygoing, flexible and spontaneous person. I used to love drinking. At the moment is less than before but i still can do! Haha (No worries, I'm not alcoholic) I want to try everything as much as I can. I used to live in Hamburg, Germany for a year with a work-holiday visa long time ago. Haha I love football. That's why I was in Germany!!! (I don't watch them these days though:( ) I love traveling :) Can not live without! I’m not really into popular tourist places or famous restaurants but it doesn't mean "I don't like sightseeing", so for me traveling is more like to meet new people. I don't usually make plans when I'm traveling as I'm a last-minutes person. I can sleep anytime and anywhere!:D haha
CURRENT MISSION Trying something new ABOUT ME I really like trying something new because I can find what I can do. When I travel somewhere, surely I try something new and fit in local way. In my travel, I prefer meeting new people and experience local life than seeing the famous places for sightseeing. At the same time, I like outdoors as well. - sports (Especially, football, futsal, softball and baseball) - climbing mountains, - traveling - eating out wih my friends - camping PHILOSOPHY I act something new before I think if I can do it or not.
Hello. I am Japanese. I am currently traveling around the world. I have traveled to 63 countries so far. It takes about 30 minutes by train to Kobe and Osaka. I have attached a photo of the house location. If so, please let me stay at home.
I just finished a fisheries conference in Faroe islands and drop by Copenhagen for a short trip
Shingo from Akashi, Japan, a laid-back coastal town just west of Kobe, known for its fresh seafood and the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge. I spent 10 years living and working in Singapore, where a friend dragged me to my first CouchSurfing event. That experience changed how I see the world. In 2023, I came back to Japan and now live a quiet freelance life in Akashi. I spend my downtime investing in Japanese stocks, planning trips, and slowly tackling Chinese. If you're passing through Kansai, let's grab a coffee!
