I’m fascinated by cities, but usually less by “must-see” sights than by ordinary neighborhoods, public transport, markets, housing, and the small things that make a place feel lived in. When I travel, I like walking with no strict plan, finding local food, watching films, going to live music or a good bar, and talking with people about how they live and what they care about.
