I am so clever that sometimes I don't understand a single word of what I am saying. Oscar Wilde Yes from all my travels I do remember the attractions, the food, and the fancy places I go to, but when I look back on all my travels, my best memories are with people I've met along the way. Meeting cool people is what really defines my travel everytime.

EDIT: I returned living to Tilburg. My profile is outdated but it's still me :) Just a bit wiser??? Hey! :) My name is Zoran and I am a 24-year old dude who has been living in Amsterdam since december last year. For me, life is that thing that I try to fill with interesting people, sports, adventures and good reads as much as possible. I try not to take it all too seriously. Sometimes I do though. A little personal history: I was born in Bosnia-Herzegovina, but moved to The Netherlands with my parents in 1999. Ever since I started studying and living on my own, I started travelling. The main reason being, I guess, is because travelling is the only thing in life that gives me a feeling of total freedom. I'm a bit of a goofball, I like to joke, chat and surround myself in situations that are new to me. At the same time, I like to talk about the bigger topics in life and genuinely help people with their issues, big or small. Next to my interest which are described below, I like to enjoy the little things in life! As a journalist I like to write long, in-depth stories about things that aren't seen as mainstream now, but could be in a few years. For example, MDMA therapy for people with PTSD. Or seaweed as food/fuel/plastic replacement. Also I noticed that talking with a lot of people isn't just fun. People can help you think of all sorts of ideas, just with a simple chat! I now live in Amsterdam in a new, but tiny studio. I can host max. 2 persons :)

**** CURENTLY NOT AVAILABLE FOR HOSTING **** Always planning our next journey! We would like to welcome you into our house! ABOUT US We used to host as a family, but now our kids moved out. So it's Mirabelle, me (Paul). Our dog Nero unfortunately passed away. Mirabelle teaches kids with a learning disability, she loves sudoku's, reading, ballet, her twin sister, hiking, early bedtimes :| Sera is our daughter (1997), who works with kids who need special attention. Jaro is our youngest (1999). He is a hard worker and manages a restaurant in a city nearby. Sera and Jaro no longer live with us, but drop by every now and then. I am an IT nerd and like every aspect about it! For my work I travel a lot in the EU and meet a lot of people. I love to travel (and I am also the travel agent for my whole family), hike, watch puzzle movies and do spontaneous things. I am an Infoholic, I love singing (along with my daughter) and fact-finding with my son. I was an evening person, but as years progress, I do like my beauty sleeps. Nero is our black Labradoodle. He does not give allergic reactions because he does not fur. He's a sort of hypo allergic dog! Nero likes to think he's a relaxed and happy dog. He also likes to have you as a visitor. Tough he is a bit older, he still likes to play with you. What we all have in common is we really like to travel! We are not religious but respect others who are, as long as you don't impose your religion on us. We are "what you see is what you get" kinda people. We are not very complicated. We do not need much to have a good time. Sometimes we can be incredibly lazy, sometimes very active. We like the contrasts in life. Sleeping under the stars in the desert, bathing in a luxury in a 5* hotel. The sweet does not taste as sweet without the sour, although I do not know which one is the sour! Then about cooking: There won't be much we don't like, so we really appreciate it if you would like to cook for us. Of-course, we can present a decent meal to you! We are not vegans or vegitarians, if you are: no problem, we will work something out (sometimes we can be too)! We live near the center of a city of about 250.000 souls. Tilburg is not a touristic place. Though, especially in the summer, there are a lot of fun activities. We have the biggest funfair in the BeNeLux, also there is music everywhere, etc.. In the winter or autumn when it's raining all day, people tend to get a little moody :s (especially me) PHILOSOPHY - Travel is fatal for prejudice - Don't waste time on worries! - Wear sunscreen... - If you're gonna do it, think before you do it, then do it right, right? How to survive the Netherlands: https://www.youtube.com/user/dutchsurvivalguide Oh, one more thing we live in the Netherlands, not Holland. Holland is not a country, in fact Holland refers to the two provinces North- and south Holland. We don't live in either of them, we live in the province of North Brabant (I can tell you all about this, if we really don't have anything else to talk about)

CURRENT MISSION Meeting new people, cultures and sites ABOUT ME I'm a 49-year old (or I prefer: young) Dutch guy, and always interested in meeting new people, exploring new places, getting acquainted with other cultures, and just diving into new experiences. I'm down to earth and like to think that I am amicable, social, uncomplicated and open to new adventures. But I prefer to let others be the judge of that. PHILOSOPHY Don't always think too much, sometimes just do it!
