I'm an artist/video gamer/boardgamer A self proclaimed foodie. I love meeting new people, enjoying the simplicities in life and traveling to new places to explore. I have a spare bedroom and a couch, and a back house with a futon and a convertible bed depending on the timing of the request. There is quite a bit of space. Sometimes there might be other surfers staying as well. It's not uncommon especially in summertime. The more the merrier! I try to approve 90% of my requests unless I'm out of town! I unfortunately only have time to show you around on the weekends. Disclaimer: This is not Airbnb, this is not a 5 star hotel, this is my home that I'm opening up to you. I try to cook nearly every night and always will invite you for a meal. If you like to board game or play video games, even better...we'll sit down for some gaming 😉. This is a home where you'll find random laughter and positive vibes and hopefully have a memorable experience!

If I want a worldly perspective, then I'll go to a part of it and take in the live perspective to really gain knowledge from it.
I prefer staying in austere conditions than nice hotels or resorts. Big part of it is because I have a passion for disaster relief. I’ve created enough of my own disasters in life, so it is now time to give back. I have volunteered and worked for several agencies that allow me to deploy to places I would never think about going. I’m a lifelong learner (literally). Have been in school my entire life and still am in school (as a professor and student). I believe I can learn from anyone I meet, especially couchsurfer and hosts. Everyday I try to enjoy life the best I can and try and surround myself with amazing people. I've made a decision to truly live my life and not let anything stop me from chasing my dreams and following my heart. I have a pretty good idea of what I want from life. I've been told I'm a non-judgmental, fun guy who finds enjoyment in the little things and someone who knows how to have a good time. I like people who can find humor in almost any situation and people who aren't trying to impress anyone. Sometimes I'm the reserved one in the group, and sometimes I'm the center of attention, but I'm always smiling and laughing and having a good time. Wrote that when couchsurfing came out in like 2009^
