Describing myself feels like trying to write my own movie trailer — tricky, but here goes. I’m friendly, open-minded, easy-going, and the kind of person you can start chatting with and forget how much time has passed. I talk a lot (sometimes pure nonsense, but always in a fun way), I’ve got a pretty average sense of humour that somehow works, and I love getting out and meeting people. I’m a music lover and, more importantly, a semi-professional bathroom singer — meaning my concerts have amazing acoustics, a loyal audience of shampoo bottles, and absolutely no ticket fees. I’m also into reading, hanging out with friends, grey skies, rainy days, and I take cooking seriously (but only in a fun, “let’s eat too much” kind of way). But honestly, the best way to find out who I am is to meet me. So don’t overthink it — send me a message! I was born in Canada, but grew up in Montana. I was a farm kid with few experiences outside of my agrarian circle, but I had a thirst for travel and experiencing new things. This hunger for the new has never left. Whether its drinking coffee in Bosnia with an old woman, solo backpacking in the Ozarks or talking with the homeless in Hamburg, I love meeting new people from different cultures around the world, experiencing new and unusual things. Mónica is Colombian. For many years she has worked in financial areas and in bank management. (From Mónica) I had the opportunity of work with a volunteer program helping African poor people , I lived in Mozambique for six months and it was the most amazing experience learning about their culture. Now, my strongest desire is to continue working in the same way. Helping people.
