CURRENT MISSION Trying to decide what I want to be when I grow up ABOUT ME I work at a high school where I teach orchestra. Needless to say, working with teenagers everyday is never boring! I'm an avid runner and hiker and love being outside! PHILOSOPHY I think everything is funny and I laugh all the time. Life should be enjoyed and shared with those around you.
CURRENT MISSION hospitality--to give and to receive it to the fullest adventure--living vicariously through myself growth--rekindling my curiosity and creativity ABOUT ME Revisiting this section PHILOSOPHY My friend shared this with me, and I think it sums it up nicely (even if it's a bit grandiose): Red Brocade =========== The Arabs used to say, When a stranger appears at your door, feed him for three days before asking who he is, where he's come from, where he's headed. That way, he'll have strength enough to answer. Or, by then you'll be such good friends you don't care. Let's go back to that. Rice? Pine nuts? Here, take the red brocade pillow. My child will serve water to your horse. No, I was not busy when you came! I was not preparing to be busy. That's the armor everyone put on to pretend they had a purpose in the world. I refuse to be claimed. Your plate is waiting. We will snip fresh mint into your tea. - Naomi Shihab Nye
I live with my two kids, Ocean and Luna who are a lot of fun. I practice and teach yoga and meditation, we are a homeschooling family. I don't have a television but we have some boardgames and books. Our kitchen is vegetarian and you are welcome to use it. You are welcome to come and sleep in our livingroom. I have a twin mattress where you can sleep. Feel free to find your own ways to spend time in town. I'm appy to show you some cool nature trails nearby. I run Ecstatic Dance in the neighboring town and if you are here on a Monday you are invited to join us :)
CURRENT MISSION "Reaching out to embrace the random, reaching out to embrace whatever may come!" ABOUT ME Hmmm, I'm a pretty cool person :P~ I'm pretty "unordinary" also (in many areans). I'm intellient, compassionate, confident, energetic, employed, and unique. I'm also rather organized and talented when it comes to planning things, but I can also go with the flow and let someone else "drive." I strive to be a positive contribution to the life of anyone with whom I interact. I'm currently an English teacher, and then possibly teaching English abroad one day! :D I also have a penchant for writing (as well as communication in general) and hope that part of my life expands in some way later as well. Curiously, I also have an inclination towards the field of death/dying, and I also see myself working well as a pastoral counselor, bereavement guide, or "midwife of death." It's a side of myself that's slowly peeling open as a possibility... I tend to be a very broad, open-minded thinker, but I keep my footing practically grounded. I've been positioned in life so that I enjoy excavating through the darkness of great depths, as well as elevating all that's light to great heights. I don't believe in accidents either; such situations to me are merely smaller pieces of a bigger picture which I can't possibly grasp from a limited, localized perspective--"fly a little higher, see a little more." PHILOSOPHY "Follow the day and reach for the sun!" "Don't fret--You can't say the wrong thing to the right person, and you can't say the right thing to the wrong one." "Swing on the spiral of [y]our divinity and still be a human..." Check me out at www.archetypeintuitive.com too! ;)
CURRENT MISSION Ready to fully explore every opportunity that life has to offer ABOUT ME I'm a modern t-shirt and jeans entrepreneur who manages an international product development and distribution company. I enjoy inventing new products that help and protect people. My work allows me the flexibility to work from wherever I want. Meeting new people is actually a critical part of helping me develop new products. My couches are your couches, one of the reasons I bought them is because I can sleep comfortably on them and I'm 6'5" tall. PHILOSOPHY Life is best approached with an optimistic attitude, it just makes every day a little easier and a whole lot more exciting.
Edit: Before you request to stay with me, I think you should know I do not live in Savannah. I live in a small town about 30 minutes from downtown. It is, however, very easy to get to Savannah from my house. Currently a person living in a humble abode among the pines of South Carolina. A former piano player now turned painter; a creative eye always on the hunt.
