I enjoy learning about different cultures whether I am traveling or while the "World is coming to me" thru my hosting of others. Addendum 2017: I attend the local South Florida CS group meetings on a weekly basis. I have camped and partied with my group! I just got back from Italy( my third trip ). I loved visiting Capri (Anacapri) and Procidia and love living like a local in Naples, Italy! I have added Dublin to the list of places I have visited. I am heading back to SXM to help friends recover after Hurricane Irma and prepared and organized my Daughter & son in law Destination wedding in SXM (08/18)..I’ve been invited back to NY to "kitty sit: for 4 weeks... Since the kitties don't need to be walked.. I will be walking myself ! Also I’ve pet “sat” in Stamford/Darien CT. During s winter snow storm( not my favorite time of year ; being a Tropical kinda gal)!

There are too many to list in regard to Books, I usually go to the Library and look what is on the Best sellers list and put a hold on the book/CD and move on to the next group of best sellers a few weeks later. I love watching Austin City lights(4 music)! I enjoy going to Broadway shows(When in NY or here in Florida), I like to watch movies.. Exotic Marigold Hotel, Shawshank Redemption, Forrest Gump,, Calendar Girls, Chocolat, Amelie,Etc. ! I loved ALL THE Hobbits/Star Wars and Harry Potter books and movies and love to watch true stories on the big screen. My favorite book series is the Outlanders!!!!!!! My all time favorite past time is to go to Garage sales and Thrift Shops looking for great finds...They say "your junk is my treasures!"

Climbing The Great Wall of China- the "Hard Side" , Bali, Indonesia finding an old friend living in a Grass Hut on Sanur Beach and The Bazaar in Istanbul Turkey oh yeah, shopping in Hong Kong! Big Sur, the Sequoias in Northern California, The Banff Jasper Highway in British Columbia, CA Multnoma Falls in Oregon and Angel Falls in Venezuela. Hiking around Mt. Rainier in Washington State, Walking around NYC and soaking up the cultural treasures... and living in Woodstock, NY back in the 70's.. Living(Dutch side.. SXM) and doing massage on Orient Beach on the French side of St. Martin and ...My life has been great so far and it keeps getting better and better. Just cant say which one has been the most amazing! Oh yeah while in France going to the top of the Eiffel Tower and coming down to find our car missing and we didn't speak French! Life is full of Surprises.

My native tongue is English and have experienced conversing in English through a program called Pueblo Inglese (Diverbo) in La Alberca, Spain... I have also had the pleasure of being a Mentor at the Angloville Immersion Programs in Poland 3 times. I learn something new daily and as a Host here in South Florida I can show people the diversity in nature of my local area. My future goal is to go to a Spanish speaking country and combine teaching English to students(taking my TEFL certificate as I type this), while brushing up on my Spanish grammar. I enjoy house sitting, pet sitting and enjoy living as a local..(I also have house sat and pet sat for friends for the past 10 years, can show references)....

I love to shop and eat good food and cook a meal in their home with my Hosts permission... I can share my love of life and respect for all living things... I can discuss traveling tips and places to go and find out what is the best local place to visit with my host's guidance (I am a good navigator with a map in hand)..

Travel, Reading a few books a week (on CD) and Library books!, Alternative Health, treating my patients and clients as if I, myself, was on the table being treated. Trying other therapists various massage techniques in what ever part of the world I travel, Making new friends and staying in touch with loved ones . Eating good healthy foods and going to my Gourmet Club (20 years) and trying out great new recipes that my Gourmet Club "sisters" cook! I also like to take photographs where ever I go with my Nikon Cool pix even if the memories just stay in my computer!! My latest interest is putting all my couch surfers signatures on my "old School" map that I have hung on the Outside Top area of my Murphy bed!
