HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I just had an [awesome] first time, and I think a couch surfing addiction may be a side-effect of the travelbug...I've always loved traveling in the past, but staying on a couch just makes it that much more special! No sarcasm. I'm not just looking for a place to crash, but for time spent with true locals looking to share their insights into the places that they call home. I'm always happy to roam around a city, play with my camera, talk about the world, and sample the best local food & drink. And when I return to the States, hopefully my couch will be available, too! COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE Great first time in Lausanne, Switzerland...and hope to sleep on some more couches soon!

This list would go on forever, so I'll let you know what I'm up to while in Barcelona. In the Spanish spirit: currently re-watching every Almodovar film, re-reading Hemingway's The Sun Also Rises (my favorite), and have tickets to see Arcade Fire, Crystal Castles, and MGMT. ok, those bands have nothing to do with Spain but they're coming to Barca and I LOVE them!
