CURRENT MISSION Travel the world and meet the locals ABOUT ME I read an interesting quote from fellow blogger The Travel Camel which it says "The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page." - St Augustine whilst this is true Couchsurfing can give you the chance to bring a few of those pages right to your home. I grew up in a country town and needed to explore this world. Got a one way ticket and headed through Asia and the Middle East before getting stuck in Europe for several years. Travelling over the past few years has completely changed me and it is something I wish to do for many more years to come. HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING By hosting and surfing.. Trying to show people around my new city and learning along the way. The main thing is telling friends and strangers about this site, letting them know there is an amazing idea out there and a great opportunity to meet people from all over the world without leaving home! COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE To many good times I've had couchsurfing to list one well maybe in Ireland when I got to stay with a family on a true country farm, amazing experiance with the locals. For me that is what this is about.. Not a free place to stay but exploring and experiancing the true culture you are in.

I dont have really any favourite movies, music or books. I am open minded and will listen, watch or read anything with interest. Maybe movies are Once, The Bang Bang Club and Into The Wild

How can I put just one! Started travelling the world,hitched Africa for nine months, slept on the rim of a volcano, survived India twice (got delhi belly:)), Mt Everest Base Camp, Taj Mahal, Petra, Abu Simbel, several Mountains in many different countries, living in London, Bull Run, Sky Dive, Bungee Jump, Hot Air Balloon, Arctic Circle, northern lights, found and explored glaciers in the Alps, the countries I have explored, the people I have meet, doing the local things via this website, pyramids and many many more things......

Something I aways do when checking into a flight, always ask for free upgrade, I got first class twice for thoses 11 hour flights :) If not ask for emergency isle seating, more leg room and they will always give if available. Silly but for a long flight it is a lot better.

Sailing, Suba Diving, Aussie Rules, generally all sports I'll take some interest in, meeting new people, traveling, trying to cook new things and basic things :) well pretty much everything is an interest for me.
