CURRENT MISSION Re-igniting the travelling flame. Couchsurfing has given me a lot. Now I’m a family man I reflect back fondly been heavily involved in Couchsurfing foundation years. ABOUT ME Hi I'm David. Couchsurfing has given me so much between 2007-2011. It’s been 10 years. I’m back! I'm Australian born with British and New Zealand born parents (I guess I was born to travel lol). I grew up in rural NSW in the Hunter Valley, 45 mins inland from coastal town Newcastle and two hours North of Sydney. I left school to do an Apprenticeship in Sydney and lived in Australia until I started travelling in 2006. One short trip to Europe was enough for me to apply for a UK passport and live in London working in the rail industry in 2007. This is where couchsurfing started for me. I travelled to all parts of the world with friends and couchsurfers from 2007-2011. Now I live back in Newcastle, Australia and have plenty more travel plans especially in the Asian and Pacific Island areas and of course my own backyard Australia. I'm friendly person however perhaps the references below will give you more of an idea of who I am. PHILOSOPHY Enjoy life, don't let silly things put you down. Work to live and not live to work.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I've hosted and surfed in many places. I'm here for information. Family commitments require me to play only a small part in Couchsurfing now. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE Hopeless at keeping count. Stayed at about 25 places, Have hosted around 100 in London. Our couchsurfing house attracted the attention of Polish TV morning show and French show 100% Mag in 2009.
