CURRENT MISSION Learning to live as mindfully as possible day to day, creating peace and understanding, I hope! ABOUT ME I've been in Arizona 25+ years. I've lived in NYC, Florida, Illinois,Colorado, and a VW van for awhile in the early 70's, while looking for Amerika. I have 3 sons and a daughter, all grown and on their independent ways. I love growing herbs, flowers, and veggies. Most of all I like to wander in the backcountry, finding new places to explore. I love hot springs and travel to them whenever I can. Also...the BEACH. Took my first trip to Maui recently and I want to return to Hawaii ASAP! We camped out. I'm kind of a natural organic freak. Not rigid, but mindful. I like insects and spiders, and most other wild things. Preserving Wilderness matters to me. I recycle. I compost. PHILOSOPHY Keep it simple! Be as mindful as possible in each moment. When ya feel the pressure start to build,or the confusion setting in, sit down in a comfortable safe place, close your eyes, and just breathe mindfully for 5 minutes.It works! Peace is right in the next moment, but sometimes we can't slow down enough to feel/find it. The older I get the more I'm learning about life and how best to live it. Stagnicity bums me out. I think I'd rather have a crisis and fall flying apart, than be stuck in a stagnant life rut. I had a Hospice patient tell me once years ago that a "rut" was just "a coffin with both ends knocked out." That made some kind of impression on me. I believe in sharing what we have and what we know for the benefit of all. I believe in planetary consciousness, not isolationism. Human beings aren't perfect, so we have to know how to forgive!
