Hello there! My name is Jing Tao - everyone calls me JT (I used to go by Jason, but there are too many Jasons and JT just sounds cooler). I'm in love with food and technology, and am very interested to learn as much as I can about world cultures and languages.

Perché sono su Couchsurfing
Because the world is still quite big and there are too many people to get to know and make friends with.
Musica, film e libri
Favourite artists are Disclosure, Years & Years, Robin Thicke, MNEK, and more. I'm quite good at singing in the car (I think!) Movies: Interstellar, The Martian, Amélie Poulain, The Bourne Series, Intouchables, Good Bye Lenin, and many more. TV series: Mr Robot. Period.
Una cosa straordinaria che ho fatto
Went to Christchurch for no reason, and flew out from there just 20 minutes before the earthquake on February 22, 2011! I have also skydived for the first time (but probably not the last) in my life in December 2015 over beautiful Wanaka, New Zealand.

Languages! I like to discuss about linguistic aspects of languages, and also to practise my German and French. I would love to learn to cook something from your culture, and in return I can show you how to make something Malaysian. I think I could be good at dancing (other than by playing Dance Central), and I would love to learn to dance "for real".
Cosa posso offrire agli host
- sharing with you about my country's culture - language exchange - a cooked Malaysian meal
I miei interessi
If there is one thing that describes a particular culture well, it would be food. I always seek out to find the most local and authentic food when travelling. And in my home country, I show visitors their way around Malaysia's diverse variety of food. I also like to cook - though I wish I do that more often nowadays. I have a passion for foreign languages - currently I speak 5 languages either fluently or rather-okay, and I'm aiming to learn a 6th before I turn 30 (so that I can become an international spy when the job market goes bad). What should I learn? I like talking about current affairs (both local and international), general knowledge, fun fact, riddles... Share with me what you know and I'll share with you too. I also love to debate and ask lots of hypothetical questions. Sometimes I get too abstract with the thing I'm talking about and confuse everyone (even myself!) Anything related to technology or computers is always welcome as topic of conversation, but that's not the only things I talk about.
