CURRENT MISSION Sorry - I've eaten the piece of paper it was written on. ABOUT ME Always interested in meeting people and like the idea of offering something to travellers and to pay back the generosity I have encountered during my own travels over the years. I am a born again cyclist and always have at least one spare bike and will be happy to take a trip into the New Forest or along some of the coastal paths near here if time permits. I love conversation - even when it becomes discussion which could even verge on argument. Fortunately, I have the ability to passionately disagree with people and still like them so I welcome people with any views. PHILOSOPHY Everything is a dangerous drug except reality, which is unendurable. Happiness is in the imagination. What we perform is always inferior to what we imagine; yet day-dreaming brings guilt; there is no happiness except through freedom from Angst, and only creative work, communion with nature and helping others are Angst-free

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING So far only as a host. Enjoy the experience of meeting travellers from all over the place. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE None as a traveller yet but great experience hosting so far.
Musica, film e libri
Interested in practically anything except trash and I define what is trash entirely whimsically. Like most people I have an affection for the music that formed the soundtrack for my early adult life. In my case that was The Blues, Dylan and English Folk. I also continue to find new music I like all the time and love being introduced to something I haven't heard before. I am attempting to become "debauched by reason" so read quite a lot of non-fiction. My particular interest at the moment is evolutionary psychology. Novels are a constant too and I like too many authors to name. Movies is a tricky one. It is my business to some extent so I have thought about it quite a lot. I think it needs to be defined more precisely. I suppose I have a preference for human stories. With some exceptions, I am not a big fan of violent films, horror or romantic comedies.
