ABOUT ME Working as a medical courier for the German airline Lufthansa I travel to worldwide destinations and especially the US nearly every week. I was getting tired of hotel life when a friend recommended couch surfing. Sometimes my bookings can be a bit short notice as in this job we find out very late when and where the next trip will take us but so far all my visits have turned out great. Sometimes I use airbnb.com as well. Either way...it has been such a treat to get to know places & people this way. Important is that I have a safe place for my laptop & medical case so I can return it to the company in one piece. I am half Canadian so even though I grew up in Germany my English is fluent and will ensure clear communication. After my delivery to the local hospitals I usually have a 3-5 day stay which is my free time to chill and enjoy the destinations. As these trips are actually "business" I am quite relaxed on the money side. If there is a chance of an airport pick-up...I'd much rather fuel up my hosts car than waste the money on a cab. I am always happy to chip in to the grocery bills, get loads of goodies to wine & dine and make it a win-win situation for guest and host equally. I'm an easy going, open minded, friendly and independent traveler looking for more than the boring hotel atmosphere on my travels. Now that we have moved to our beautiful new spacious penthouse appartment we finally have the chance to have guests stay comfortably and return some hosting to the community.
