CURRENT MISSION Is to explore the world and all it offers ABOUT ME I grew up in South Africa, immigrated to the US in '96 and started serious traveling after I graduated Uni. So far I have been to 23 countries and I am looking forward to more. I am a jill of all trades and hopefully a master of a couple, these include: environmental educator, ESL instructor for 3yrs in Korea and for 1 yr in seattle for refugees, freelance writer, Vet Nurse. Finished an epic 1yr 9 country trip in 2011 and am back traveling. Started working as the English Social Hostess on MSC cruise ships. So far explored the Med and the Carib. Now I am on Koh Phangan Thailand doing my dive instructor course and just living the dream. HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING 2011 saw me on a 1 yr 9 country trip, met some great surfers and hosts. In Seattle I hosted 56 surfers in 18mths. I have surfed in Australia, Italy, Spain and Portugal. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE Have hosted quite a number of couch surfers already and enjoy meeting them, learning about their travels and showing them around. My last count is 56 surfers in 18mths. I surfed at a fantastic villa in Spain! With a great guy in Portugal and a brilliant fellow writer in Australia.

Sat in Angkor Wat's Bayon Temple, Rode a horse, an elephant and an ostrich. Sat around a fire in africa at 4am when the fish eagle cries and the morning starts. Rolled around at the korean Boreyong Mud Festival, covered myself in red mud in africa, shaved my head for charity in Australia, jumped off a mountain in New Zealand and so much more...
