I love the sense of "community" and camaraderie that can be found at various points in life. I feel it from those I grew up with in my home town. I feel it from my current site and the loving Paraguayan families who share what little they have with me. I feel it amongst other Peace Corps Volunteers. And I feel it with couchsurfers. I want to do what I can to respect and keep these support systems alive for so many unique travelers. My site is also located in a beautiful and unique part of Paraguay (an underrated gem of South America) on the ridge of the Atlantic Forest. Any opportunity I have to share and educate about the environmental significance of this region, I feel is my responsibility as the PCV here.

Gangs of New York, the Dark Knight Trilogy, Perfume, Blues Brothers, Interstellar...I can list movies for ages and then be upset because I still forgot my favorites. I will always have a place in my heart for the early 2000s emo punk scene I was once a part of (Jillians in Las Vegas!) but I have evolved to enjoy an enormously broad variety. always searching.
