CURRENT MISSION ...find myself everyday :) and when I found myself, find others to join the journey... ABOUT ME ..."all about you" sounds like a lot to write down and since I am trying to write down some things anyway in a little book, some stories from travels, I will try to keep this one short: since I have first left Germany for 1 year when I was 17, travelling is a part of my life and lifestyle, and I believe that holds for many people on CS. Actually, I took "my" first trip at the age of 3, when we left Romania to go to Germany. Travelling has a lot of advantages, as you meet many people, learn from them and their culture and their experiences and at the same time learn about you. At the same time travelling is addictive and sometimes, as other drugs, it makes it easy to run away from problems back home (I think that running away does not hold for me, but it is a thought I had after reading an email "Lonely Planet destroyed my life"). However, what place do we call "home" is a good question. Being born in one country and having been raised in another country does not answer these questions. We are all citizens of this place, (and as cheezy as this mind sound) called earth, and this is how we should treat each other. It is not easy to behave in a manner that respects "all" other people, but at least thinking and trying to act in a way that is sensitive to the other people we live with is worth doing it. For me traveling brings me closer to understanding how to act this way, but there is a long road in front of me...and Couchsurfing is one of the roads I take. PHILOSOPHY My thoughts are captured in many nice quotes, one of them: "If at first, the idea is not absurd, then there is no hope for it" Einstein
