I am an elementary school teacher in Southern Illinois. I love reading, running, hiking, camping, and traveling. I was a summer camp counselor for 10 summers in the Shawnee National Forest. These days, I try to visit a new country each summer.

I started couch surfing (under a different account) in college because I was broke and needed a place to stay for Jazz Fest in New Orleans. Here I am, a decade later, and I'm still too broke to afford a hotel that weekend. #teacherlife :)
Musica, film e libri
Some of my favorite artists are Michael Franti, Leon Bridges, Houndmouth, Jurassic 5, and Lauryn Hill. Some of my favorite movies are City of God, Dumb & Dumber, Miss Congeniality, and An American Tail. Some of my favorite books are The Alchemist, The Help, The Lightning Thief, and To Kill a Mockingbird.

I hiked across the state of Illinois on the River to River Trail in the dead of winter with my best friend.
