I've been living out of my country 9 years ago, and really start to travel 5 years ago after few years living in Spain. I've been combining travel and work in the way i could stay longer to the place i decided to explore as for me travel has meaning only if i integrate properly the culture, understanding its most hidden parts through interacting with locals people. Travelling short term in a country using a concept as Couchsurfing, i think it's a good approach of travelling as it can show what's happening as much in the private as in the public sphere.
