For me CS seems to be the most friendly way to travel, you have the opportunity to meet local, you also have the pleasure to make them discover your place from a different angle than the tourist books, also having contact with a loal make the things more easy (for bus schaduale for example), and it's also a way to discover new recipes! (i guess my french blood is speaking for me!).
