Because I have tried and I fall in love with this kind of travelling. Because when you come back from your travel, you mention experience with people first, then experience with food, then experience with culture and then maybe you mention a monument. The second reason is lets be honest, apart from the fact that hotels are boring they are also expensive, especially for students. I appriciate when somebody hosts me, so then when I have the conditions for it I also try to host people.
