We are Sylvia and Gabriel, a couple from Austria (living in Switzerland). We started our two year trip around the world in August 2023! We are looking forward to meeting locals and internationals and making new friends :) We are open to meeting new people and would love to get to know you!

In the last 12 months, we've travelled around the Balkans, the Caucasus and Central Asia and met so many wonderful people! We love the concept of couchsurfing for the opportunity to meet new people and learn about local culture. Travelling is about people and nature for us, not seeing every attraction or ticking boxes. Since March, we've been hiking the PCT, but after 1000+ miles we realised that we want to see more from the US than the trail. We hope to learn more about 'normal' everyday life in the US :)

We would love to tell you about our country Austria or about Switzerland, the country we have lived in for the last years. Sylvia is an English and Mathematics teacher if you are interested in these topics ;) And I love art, so I would love to discuss it with you :) Of course if you are learning German, French or English, we are happy to help you practise. We are travelling the world mostly by land/sea (avoiding planes whenever possible), so if you're interested, we'll gladly share some fun stories of our journey :D
