Winter has been very cold and sleeping outside has been my only option because homeless shelters go by age, and I'm always the youngest person there. I have been getting weaker and sicker every day in caught out in the cold. I have no recources to get on my feet because my parents kicked me out at 17 over my stepdad being fed up with me due to smoking marijuana. I do not do hard drugs or have a problem with pot but my family isn't educated about substances at all and couldn't handle my curiosity to try anything but the things they thought were acceptable for me to be doing. I am a very free thinking and positive seeking individual, I don't think I deserve to be 18 and on the streets, I don't know how I'm going to get out of this rut but I would appreciate any help that comes my way because I'm not educated about living this way and every day is a great challenge to feed myself and stay hopeful anything will get better. Anywhere warm to sleep at night is impossible to find here, I really need to catch up on sleep and my healthiness from living this way.
