CURRENT MISSION To live a happy life ABOUT ME I love traveling so CS is the coolest website for me. I was born in Hungary and must have some gypsy blood in me because I' ve moved around so much that I wonder if I truly belong into a national group. Canada is quite multicultural - I like it here and I love Victoria - one of the chill cities of Canada. I used to teach computer subjects, used to plant trees, now I do watercolour painting, teach ESL when needed and just breaking into tatooing. I try to live a balanced, happy life and so far it's worked. PHILOSOPHY This is it! ... life is not a rehearsal. Attitude, love, passion, energy and curiosity count for a lot.

Perché sono su Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING Being an active member in my circle of the people I know; loving my friends and family; reaching out to anyone who needs help or a smile. Trying hard to leave as small a footprint as possible. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I've been so happy with the people who've hosted me. Slept on a couch or two, a bed or two ... but it's the personal interaction that is so good. I find people, in general are kind generous and good. I like to find out about the culture around me, to understand people, to truly listen to them because in the end, that's all there is ... love.
Musica, film e libri
Just got introduced to French movies and love them. As for music ... alternative, vocal, blues. Books … I really like some Canadian authors - Robertson Davies: Rebel angels, What's bred in the bone. Carol Shields: The Stone Diaries, Unless, Barbara Kingsolver: The Poisonwood Bible, Pigs in Heaven, The Bean Trees, Flight Behaviour. Non Canadian authors - The Sympathizer by Viet Thanh Nguyen, Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adiche, The shadow of the wind by Carlos Lois Zafon A book I read recently that really made an impact on me was Meditation in Action by Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche. Also a most beautiful but sad tale - Sophie's Choice by William Styron. And the very best - Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel García Márquez - Wow!!!
Una cosa straordinaria che ho fatto
Delivered a baby :)
Insegna, Impara, Condividi
We could cook together, tell stories, go for a walk, have a beer and one of my favourites ... sit by a fire and watch the flames.
Cosa posso offrire agli host
Good company, a helping hand, lively conversation and an attentive ear.
I miei interessi
Tree-planting, cherry picking, travelling, tennis, hiking, being in nature, watching a sunrise or the full moon rising - give me an adrenaline high. The mountain peak, the sun-drenched beach, the noise of the jungle or the starry night in the desert fill me ... I don't know what with, but they fill me. It's a beautiful world and it's a beautiful life for sure. My latest thing is tattooing. Just breaking into it.
