We are a Christian family that consists of a husband (age 40) and wife (age 35), two sons (age 17 and 11), and two dogs. I am actually opening our home up on behalf of my 17 year old son. It is dream to be a hyperpolyglot. He wants to travel the world and learn different languages. He is fairly fluent in Spanish and is a beginner in Mandarin. He is scheduled to go to France in three months, so right now he is fervently learning French. About our family...I am stay at home mom of two homeschooling boys. One is 17 and the other is 11. My husband is a mechanical engineer and is home in the evenings. This is our first experience with couch surfing and we are doing so my 17 year old can practice his language skills.

Musica, film e libri
We listen to all types of music from Christian to rock and roll to country. My 17 year recently started listening to Irish music. We often have Spanish songs playing as well. As far as movies, we enjoy science fiction, comedy, and inspirational movies. We read all different types of books depending on what we learning about at the time.

Our family are do it yourselfers, so there isn't much we haven't done. We used to live on a farm and our homestead was 90% self sufficient. We now live in a small city.

At this point, we are looking to host. We have a 2400 square foot house that has four bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. It is a two story house with the guest bedroom and shared full bathroom upstairs. We are about one hour west of Chicago, however we rarely go there.
I miei interessi
My family's interest includes speed skating, basketball (17 year old son), learning new languages, homeschooling, volunteering with elderly and homeless people, church, and making new friends.
