PLEASE READ THE COUCH DESCRIPTION! I guess I am (still) a bit lost. I struggle between being an utopian optimist and a complete cynic. I want to save the world but, is this world really worth saving? I studied engineering to learn how the world works and try to improve it a little bit, just to discover that there are too many things to change and too little hands willing to help. Right after finishing my studies I went to Africa a couple of times, one to work for and NGO in water and sanitation and another for a multinational company that built roads and destroyed countries. Not cool. I quit, travelled and ended up in Scotland for a while. There I discovered that a huge part of me needs nature, (climbing especially) to be happy. The constant battering of the elements made that impossible so I decided to keep moving and now I'm in New Zealand! My plans for New Zealand are exploring, rock climbing and learning as much as possible. I want to start surfing and paragliding. Also, there is something to discover about oneself when you move by yourself to somewhere so far away. A big part of my adult life has been volunteering, so it would be cool if could find people to do that with. I also wanted to host a lot so you might be in luck, please read my couch description for more info!

Truth is, there is not so many people willing to open their house to a stranger. Its an uncommon act of kindness and some very great connections between people can come out of it. Also, I deeply believe that if instead of buying our needs away (real or created) we shared a little bit more, the world would be a better place. We don´t have many chances to improve this world, but if we can improve the lives of those around us, we definitely should try. So, compared to a hotel its cheaper, cooler, better for the world and improves the quality of your trip.
Musica, film e libri
I love any kind of good music. I always loved rock, classic and metal too, but lately I have been exploring new types of music. Spotify is the next step in my musical evolution, but it takes me a while to evolve. Also, so many film directors worth mentioning I don´t know where to start... And if you have any good book recommendations I´ll take them! Here is one for you: George Orwell <3
Una cosa straordinaria che ho fatto
Climbed a few mountains, recorded a music album and played in front of a lot of people, volunteered and worked in Africa, built a tree house, jumped out of a plane, dislocated a kneecap, drove 5000 km along the coast of Norway, slept under the stars, fell in love several times, tried to write a book and failed, won an egames championship. I was offered tea outside a Hindu Temple in Kathmandu and regained some of my lost faith in humanity. Also lived in 5 different countries including NZ!
Insegna, Impara, Condividi
I love rock climbing and everyone is welcome to join me if you want to try! I am an amazing teacher, and very good at modesty too =] Also, music is like a lost love to me, I used to play but now I am really bad. Maybe we can jam together, I'll have fun and you can laugh at me. I love cooking too (even though some times it ends in disaster) I'd love to share a kitchen and learn/teach some recipes. I am my own version of a vegetarian, sort of ethical consumer more than anything else, so my recipes won´t have any meat in them, but I can cook a tasty veggie stew. Oh! and I'm very good at organizing closets.
I miei interessi
Climbing, yoga, travelling, nature, volunteering, meeting interesting people, reading, listening and playing music (I used to play the bass and I'm learning to play the drums, I am really really bad but I have fun!), making the world a little bit better for those who come after us.
